Just a quick email that Sharon and Nancy are AWESOME!
What wonderful people to work with. They are so nice and helpful.
WOW- they took me right in and showed me the ropes!
-Patricia, July 2019

Just wanted to send a quick note to you to say thank you.
Sharon (and Eileen) were fantastic.
Our boys had a great time!
Sharon was fantastic with them.
We felt extremely comfortable with leaving our boys in her care.
We will definitely be contacting u again if we are back in Boston.
If all of your sitters are like Sharon and Eileen,
then I would say you have an awesome baby sitting service! Thanks again.
-Jim burns, October 2018

Thank you for sending us such wonderful caregivers both last week and this week!!
They really all were excellent.
They had great ideas, made everything fun for the kids,
anticipated what needed to be done, connected with kids who were upset (at first)
to be apart from their parents...they really all are very good at what they do!
We hope some of the same sitters will come back to us next year!
With gratitude,
-All of us at Shaarei Tefillah :)

Thank you for organizing and sending such wonderful sitters for our event last week!
They left the space cleaner than they found it and the parents were happy.
What more could I ask for?
Thanks again,

Our family recently spent a weekend in Boston, partly for business and partly for pleasure.
My husband and I had to attend a business dinner on Saturday evening,
and Sharon made a terrific companion for our two kids, ages 12 and 15.
They can stay on their own at home, but because we were visiting a big city
we wanted them to have a little freedom and not have to stay in our hotel room.
Sharon was a fun and energetic companion for our son and daughter,
both of whom have mild special needs.
She accompanied them to the pool, took them out to McDonalds,
watched the Celtics playoff game on TV with them and made sure they didn't get bored.
The following day our kids said three different times,
"Sharon was really nice."
And you know how hard teenagers are to impress!

We had the pleasure of having Sharon care for our 32 month old son on two evenings while visiting Boston.

What a great experience for all of us.

Our son took to Sharon as soon as she walked into the room.

That says a lot about Sharon since our son generally needs a little warm up time when staying with a caregiver.

We knew he was in good hands and were able to enjoy ourselves in the city.

Sharon arrived early and kept us updated on our son via text with pictures.

This is the second trip in which Sharon cared for our son.

She first time she cared for our son he was 15 months old.

We will not hesitate to reach out again when in town.

-Alina, April 2018

By the way, Sharon was amazing - such a kind and and wonderful woman- the kids loved her!
Have a great day,
-Anne, November 2017

Just wanted to let you know we had a fantastic experience with Sharon last night.

She is the absolute best! From now on we will be requesting Sharon exclusively as our first option.

-Brian, December 25th 2016

It's been such a relief to have the team of babysitters (Lindsay, Marzi, Monique, Sharon)

helping us with childcare this season,

and not have to worry about it as I got adjusted to the new job, so thank you!
-Tom, Grace Episcopal December 2016

I just wanted to say thank you so much!
The babysitters (Christine, Heather, Marzi, Monique, Rosa, Sharon) last night were great!
We look forward to working with you guys in the future!
Thanks!
-Imen, December 2016

I'm writing to make you aware of how pleased my husband and I were with the care Sharon

provided for our son this past Saturday evening.

If you should ever need a reference for Sharon please feel free to contact us.
Thanks Again!

We had an educational workshop for families who have loved ones with Duchenne muscular dystrophy,

a rare fatal childhood disease, a couple weeks ago in Waltham, MA.

We like to secure and offer childcare for the families at our regional workshops in case they are unable to make

their own arrangements and therefore are unable to attend our events.

Sharon was one of our babysitters there, and she served almost as the "lead" sitter

(we had 12+ children of varying ages with 3 other sitters).

And I have to say, Sharon was phenomenal!

She gave great care to the kids and it was obvious that all of the kids had a fun time.

She was also great at keeping the kids in line.

I saw her handle a situation very well when two girls were not playing safely.

I would definitely recommend Sharon and this service

to others looking to have childcare there in the Boston area!

-Katie, Westin Waltham May 2016

I engaged Boston's Best BabySitters this past weekend
to sit with my two grandchildren for my son's wedding.
The children's' mother was delighted with Sharon and was able to attend the wedding with peace of mind.
Both children were in the wedding party and were allowed to stay for part of the reception.
Sharon helped to make the very sleepy little ones comfortable and at ease.
Thank you so much.
-Kristine Kahler, September 19th, 2015

I also just want to let you know how great Sharon has been this year.
We get wonderful comments from our parents about the care she shows the kids--
and that includes my kids!
For the parents of one of the boys with serious autism,
she is one of the few people they have been able to leave him with,
so that they are able to attend worship together and get a brief respite,
and it has meant so much to them.
We would love to have her back in the fall if she is able.
Grace and Peace,
-Regina, June 2015

Sharon - 3/24 and 25 2015
Anna had a lovely time with Sharon - she is so warm and enthusiastic,

and she knows all of the fun places to go in Boston near Symphony Hall!

Everyone just loved Sharon!
She got right down on the ground so she could be eye-level with the children.
She is a great, interactive, energetic provider!

Our on site travel directors are obligated to fill out a form after each program.
This form details any problems, issues or concerns they had with the program,
including the child care services.
I just wanted to let you know that our on site travel directors
gave your child care services rave reviews.
This is especially important because our program director
has received several complaints about other child care services this year
(we have over 300 of these Edward Jones programs this month).
Thank you so much for your great work!!

I just wanted to drop a note to say that Sharon was absolutely wonderful
with our girls on Saturday night.
They had so much fun and had nothing but great things to say about her.
She was extremely patient and great about our staying out really late as well.
We are so glad that we found your service on line and won't hesitate
to get in touch with you again should we ever need your services,
and to recommend you to anyone who we know who might need babysitting in Boston.
Thanks so much, and please tell Sharon how great we think she was!
Sincerely,
-Brian, May 2014

Hi Jen, I'm writing to share positive feedback re my first experience with BBB last weekend.
My husband and I came to town for a wedding and stayed at the Hotel Langham on Saturday.
The concierge was very helpful in connecting me with your company and helping me understand
the process (specifically David, whom I introduced myself to while we were there).
It would be the first time we left our 3 month old daughter in someone else's care.
We were paired with Sharon and it was very helpful to read her detailed profile
and see pictures of her on your website.
Sharon was fantastic.
She came early and we had a nice overlap to make sure our daughter was comfortable.
Sharon is so personable I could have talked with her for hours.
She was terrific with our daughter, comforting her right from the beginning,
reading stories, showing her the lights, curtains, windows, etc.
She provided text updates throughout the evening.
To top it off, our daughter slept a full 9 hours that night, the longest stretch she's ever had.
We credit Sharon with the magical touch.
Thanks so much,
-Annemarie Reed, October 2013

I had a 640 am flight.
Sharon showed up a few minutes early and was a lot more awake and happy than I was at 520 am!
She did a great job quickly getting some direction from me
and took care of things beautifully until our regular nanny arrived at 9.
-Matt, August 2013

Hi Jennifer,
I wanted to thank you and Sharon for helping me and my daughter during our stay in Boston.
Sharon did a great job.
My daughter had a wonderful time with her.

She was punctual, responsible, and took my daughter to all the fun places.
It was clear that my daughter liked Sharon a lot and was very comfortable with her.
I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Thanks,
-Ganga, May 2013

Sharon was a great "Lead Nanny!"
Sometimes Lead Nannies can get a little bossy and controlling of the other nannies but Sharon
did a wonderful job of stepping in the lead role and guiding the group and managing everything,
while still being super nice to all the other girls and respecting our capabilities and duties as well.
So, super job to Sharon on this Group Army job too!!!
-Randi, July 2012

You should know (and I'm sure you do) that Sharon is WONDERFUL
with all kids of any age and the perfect person to lead us at these group jobs.
She has never not done a fantastic job.
-Alex, July 2012

Sharon J is a wonderful person and an awesome nanny.
She was our temporary nanny for 6 weeks and I can not say enough great things
about what a fabulous job she did caring for my 3 month old son.
She was always on time and very flexible with my schedule.
As a nervous first time mother I felt confident leaving my son in her care from the first day.
In addition to her professionalism I could tell that she truly cared about my son and enjoyed
the time she spent with him.  I wish I could have brought her with me to London!
Happy New Year!
-The Curry Family, January 2011

We asked Sharon to watch our two boys (Charles 14 months and Tristan 3 1/2)
last weekend for my friend's wedding.  I was really nervous at first because,
as a stay at home mom, my boys are not used to baby sitters.
We were so happy with Sharon!  We felt like we could trust her immediately,
she even texted us during the night to let us know how things were going.
The kids loved her and when we got back to the hotel, our two boys were sound asleep.
We would recommend her in a minute.

Thank you Sharon, we could really enjoy our selves at the wedding

and we knew our little boys were in good hands!
-Marie-France Duclos, October 2010

I've been meaning to write to you for ages but am only getting around to it now...
I just would like you to please convey to Sharon J our sincere thanks
for being such a wonderful babysitter for our son Raj.
She babysat him on 14th May at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge and she was fantastic!
Also, she left us some picture cards and a book,
both of which Raj loves and plays with all the time.
Please give her a big "thank you" from us.
We were very happy with her services.
Cheers,
-Carol, May 2010

We wanted to write and let you know how happy we were with Sharon J.
We came from the west coast and were going to a wedding, needing someone
to take care of our 1 year old and 3 year old.
My one year old is very nervous of new adults so I was so relieved,
that by the time I walked out of our hotel room, she was happily in Sharon’s arms.
My 3 year old was excited to see her the next day that she came!
She truly was fun, warm and engaging with my girls and I am so grateful for yours
and her excellent and professional service.
I would highly recommend Sharon to any parents visiting Boston.
Thank you Sharon, you were wonderful!
-Julie and Luke Rawlings, May 2010

I just wanted to send you a quick note thanking you for everything.
Sharon J and Lois were absolutely wonderful with the kids and even exceeded our expectations!
All of the parents were really happy.
Thanks again, and please pass on my appreciation to Sharon and Lois as well.
-Joyce, April 2010

Sharon J was wonderful.
We had a great night out and didn't worry about the kids at all.
Thanks so much!
-ML Joseph, March 2010

I just want to write to tell you how absolutely wonderful Sharon J was
in caring for our 3 children over the holidays.
As you will recall, we were in transit much of the week before and after Christmas,
with our stop in Boston for a family wedding right in the middle of it all.
Sharon met us punctually at the hotel, completely identifiable in her awesome
Red Sox jacket -- a big hit with our 10 year old Sox fanatic!
She was warm, conversational and so enthusiastic -- and immediately made our children
feel comfortable during the tight hand-off timeframe between the wedding ceremony
(which they attended) and the reception (which was for grown-ups only).
She brought great age-appropriate activities for our 11, 10 and 8 year olds --
and even threw in a few Red Sox commemorative magazines which she no longer needed.
Again, this was a huge hit!  Sharon took the kids on a tour of the Public Garden and a bit of
Back Bay and had them all nestled in when we returned from the wedding reception.
They were very happy and full of stories of their city adventure.
With warmest thanks for your excellent service,
-Shelagh and Patrick Sullivan, Riverside, CT

Thanks Jen for sending Sharon to us.
Our daughter had a terrific time with her today on their outing in the city.
She was very child-centered, attentive to and interested in our child.
She is a terrific representation for you organization and I wouldn’t hesitate to request her
again when we’re back in Boston.
Again, I appreciate your promptness in responding to me and for providing such terrific service.
Wished I could find a service like yours in Los Angeles !
Thanks again!
-Chloe, October 2009

The kids LOVED Sharon and had a great time playing with her.
What a treat for us!

We were very pleased with Sharon J.

She was wonderful with our daughter!
Thanks,

A Note from Sharon:
My strengths are patience, humor and compassion, and I believe the most important attribute a person can have is kindness. I feel very strongly that each child and each family is different, and therefore should be cared for according to their individual needs. Each parent is raising their children differently and we, as caregivers, must respect that because there is no one 'right way' to parent. My strength comes from within, but also from the amazing support from my wonderful husband and kids. I've always been around kids...whether my own, my kids' friends, family (I have a large extended family that is very close, with lots of kids), my own friends or professionally...and I have enjoyed every minute.

I look forward to meeting you and your family!

To Share a Few Other Things About Me-
I have volunteered in some capacity, with every activity my kids have been involved in: Girl Scouts, Little League, Babe Ruth, Softball, Football, Music, etc.  I was the Team Mom for my daughter’s Cheerleading Squad for four years.

Other Things-
★  I am a huge Red Sox Fan!
★  I love to read, and love to read with kids or have them read to me.
    ★  I enjoy doing crafts.
★  Walking is one of my favorite things!
    ★  I adore animals.
★  I come from a large extended family.
    ★  I love music….all kinds.
★  My philosophy in life- Being kind is the most wonderful attribute.

child was born and the dad decided to stay home full-time. After his position, I stayed with another family from the time their daughter was 2-months-old until she was two-years-old and ready for daycare. Most recently (in 2013), I've become an on-call nanny for a family with infant twins, working one or two days/week as needed. (I’m also a regular provider for Boston’s Best BabySitters’ monthly group jobs with the military!)

At this time, I decided to be with my kids through their preteens and early teens, although I continued to babysit locally. Once they started getting older, I went back to being a nanny-a job I so desperately love. It is not complicated at all…I adore children and working with them. Being a nanny is simply the job that fits me best! Through Boston’s Best BabySitters, I have been fortunate enough to meet and work with countless wonderful families on a short-term basis at hotels. In addition to these temporary positions, I have had the pleasure of working with 2 local full-time, long-term families. The children in these families range from infancy to school-aged. I worked with one family (school-aged children) for two years, and only left when the third

In 2000, I opened up a day care in my home. I loved it! I was licensed for 6 children and always had a ‘full house.’ It was wonderful. After a year, I was told of a job with the local school system as a teacher’s aid with special needs kids. The job offered a new job experience for me. I applied and got the position. It was a difficult decision to leave the day care, but proved to be one of the best experiences ever!

For 2 years, I worked in a very small classroom of 6-8 children, aged 4-9 with special needs. The program then changed, but I then had new experiences that lay ahead. I began to babysit for 2 of the families from this classroom. I also wanted to continue to work with kids, and was hired by a local agency as a short term nanny. Here I went to different homes in the greater Boston Area, watching kids of all different ages: from newborns to teenagers. Each experience was unique and special. Each age group brings something different and wonderful. As well as being with great kids, I also met some great parents as well.

While working for several months as a short term nanny, I thought about doing it full time. I found a terrific family with 2 young children. I worked for them for 10 months. Due to their work situation, I stopped working for them, but still remain in contact... another wonderful experience!

Hi!  I’m Sharon and I’m a 55 year old mom of 2 young adult children- an 20 year old daughter and a 22 year old son. I have been married for 25 years to a wonderful man. I grew up in Canton, MA, and  went to Simmons College, getting my B.A. in Sociology and Human Services. After leaving college, I worked with Special Needs adults in workshop and group home settings. I was then offered a job as a Title Examiner, in Dedham MA, where I worked as an independent contractor. At the time, my son was in a wonderful home day care. After my daughter was born, I stayed home for a few years to be with both kids, although they both stayed at the day care part time, to be with their friends.
