Boston's Best Gift Card

Welcome to Boston’s Best BabySitters- a nanny agency specializing in temporary childcare in the finer hotels throughout Massachusetts. Although our focus is on both private and event care at hotels, we also place temporary, night & weekend, overnight and long-term positions for residential families. Since 1996, experienced, reliable, fully vetted professional childcare providers have been available to families in the Greater Boston area and beyond through Boston's Best BabySitters.

We are not a .com- What this means is that we are regulated by the state- something .coms cannot offer you in terms of peace of mind. We are held to the strictest of controls and our office is biannually inspected by the Division of Labor Standards, where we have remained in compliance since our launch in 1996. We are licensed by the state of Massachusetts, registered with the city of Boston, privately bonded and fully insured for children, elders and pets.

We personally know each provider. Again, this is a level of security that .com companies cannot present to you. We meet with each potential childcare candidate at an in-person interview and again at our company orientation. If the prospective candidates are not already Infant & Child CPR and First Aid certified, then we’ll meet them yet again at one of our American Red Cross certifications. These meetings, and others, take place prior to accepting all new providers.

We conduct background and reference checks. Here at Boston's Best BabySitters, the work has already been done for you. The MA CORI (Criminal Offender Records Information) is a background check that is actually required by law for all state regulated agencies. Beyond the CORI,  we conduct a second investigation using a private company that searches all states. Finally, at least 3 childcare-related references are verified for each childcare provider prior to their enrollment.

When investigating childcare options for your family, you cannot be too meticulous in your screening process. Choosing a nanny for the children is an important and delicate task. It requires insight, balanced judgment and an ability to read character. The way to find a proper nanny is to go about it in a proper fashion. -George Banks, Mary Poppins 1964.
